The Missionary Companions of St. Dunstan were established in 2012 by Rev. Fr. Chukwuma J. Okafor CP, a Passionist priest with a heart for the marginalized. Our mission is to bring Christ’s healing to the mentally disordered, offering rehabilitation, spiritual care, and lifelong companionship. Recognized by the Diocese of Yendi in Ghana, we are a Public Association with Diocesan Right, committed to evangelization and holistic care

Formation

Aspirancy & Postulancy
This is the initial stage of discernment. Aspirants begin exploring their vocation through prayer, community life, and spiritual guidance. Postulants then enter more formally, learning the values, mission, and daily rhythm of the congregation.
Philosophical Studies
Candidates engage in academic formation, studying philosophy to deepen their understanding of human nature, ethics, and reason. This foundation prepares them to think critically and dialogue meaningfully with the world.
Novitiate
A sacred year of spiritual immersion. Novices live more fully the religious life, embracing silence, prayer, and study of the congregation’s charism. It’s a time of deep interior growth and commitment.
Theological Studies
This final academic stage prepares candidates for ordained ministry. They study Scripture, Church doctrine, liturgy, and pastoral theology—equipping them to serve as compassionate and knowledgeable shepherds.
Ordinations - Called to Serve
